Within a year of graduating from Cornell, Shashwat decided to get involved in entrepreneurship and became the owner and operator of a health food and supplements franchise. For three years, Shashwat ran all of the daily business operations. He managed profits and losses, inventory control, product pricing, competitive offering, and product promotion. Besides the product-based tasks, Shashwat also ran all of the sales and marketing and talent acquisition for the business. In those few years that he operated this business, he was able to improve sales and profit margins by 20% year over year. His hard work and success led to the corporate executives taking notice and offering Shashwat more locations to the franchise.

Although Shashwat Samudra saw great success in the health food and supplement industry, he decided to start a new business venture.
